Quantitative microstructural investigation of 3D-printed and cast cement pastes using micro-computed tomography and image analysis

چکیده
Microstructural phases and mechanical properties of lamellar 3D-printed cast hardened cement paste (hcp) elements were investigated using a lab-based X-ray microscope at two levels magnification (0.4× 4×). K-means clustering was used for quantitative image analysis. The entire volume intact 3-days-old hcp characterized 0.4× magnification. Three microstructural features (macro-pores, micro-channels, interfacial micro-pores) found to reside in three distinct pore size domains. largest pores the element larger than reference element. Moreover, smallest sizes be smaller those present counterparts. Micro-channels connected one another through micro-pores regions, indicating presence uniquely patterned interconnected network. role locally weak porous interfaces on response fracture is discussed.

Quantitative computed tomography (CT) texture analyses for images with and without filtration are gaining attention to capture the heterogeneity of tumors. The aim of this study was to investigate how quantitative texture parameters using image filtering vary among different computed tomography (CT) scanners using a phantom developed for radiomics studies.A phantom, consisting of 10 different c...
متن کاملMicro-powder injection molding: Investigation of powder-binder separation using synchrotron-based micro-tomography and 3D image analysis
Micro-powder injection molding (μ-PIM) is one of the most promising processes of mass production for the fabrication of small complexly shaped ceramic or metallic parts with high sintered density. However, dimensional accuracy of finished parts is difficult to achieve because of extremely high shear rates during the injection molding process. This promotes the separation of powder and binder ev...
